At 2Mad Photographers, we are passionate about capturing the beauty and complexity of the natural world. Founded in 2017, we are a Sydney-based duo — Ákos Lumnitzer, originally from Hungary, and Netra Chetty, from South Africa — with a shared love for wildlife photography and conservation. With over 50 years of combined experience, our work spans from majestic birds of prey and big cats to delicate invertebrates and elusive nocturnal creatures. We believe in the power of photography to tell stories, evoke emotion, and inspire action toward preserving the planet’s fragile ecosystems.
Our mission is not only to create breathtaking images but also to empower others to do the same. Through our immersive workshops and engaging presentations, we teach photographers of all levels to refine their techniques while fostering a deeper connection with nature. Ákos’ expertise in ecology and Netra’s background in design and visual arts create a unique blend of scientific insight and creative vision, ensuring a rich learning experience. Whether you’re joining us in the field or attending one of our talks, we aim to inspire ethical practices and a greater appreciation for the natural world.
